The "Dictionary of food and restaurant industry galician-spanish-english" was presented today to employers in Santiago de Compostela. It has been elaborated by the Galician terminological service Termigal. This dictionary contains a summary of the terms of the gastronomic and culinary language relevant from the conceptual or denominativepoint of view. Its aim is to contribute to the terminological standardization of Galician language in the field of gastronomy and culinary industry, to solve problems related to specific terms and to facilitate communication among professionals in the sector. This new multilingual dictionary contains about 3000 items, with 3600 terms in Galician, 3700 equivalents in Spanish and 3500 in English, as well as 320 scientific names.Image may be NSFW.
